Meet the BRC-AM7
A technically advanced PTZ camera with auto-framing and built-in AI analytics, ensuring state-of-the-art image quality. Works perfectly with other production systems.
Significantly higher imaging efficiency
Images captured with 20x optical zoom - covering everything from wide angles to close-ups - are delivered in high-quality 4K 60p. Additionally, interoperability with existing systems has been improved by adding support for ITU709/709tone, S-Cinetone™ and S-Log3.
Advanced AI analytics delivers precise subject tracking and smooth, natural framing, making it easier than ever to create high-quality content with fewer operators. Direct drive pan and tilt mechanism using newly developed motors ensures exceptionally smooth camera operation. This technically advanced drive system is also exceptionally quiet and is perfect for situations requiring absolute silence.
BRC-AM7 is the smallest and lightest camera in the world*, so it can be easily installed anywhere. For the same reason, it is unobtrusive, even in multi-camera setups. In addition, the BRC-AM7 provides a wide range of connectivity and system compatibility, such as with S700PTP and free-d protocols.
*Equipped with type 1.0 image sensor and compatible with 4K 60p as a remote-controlled PTZ camera with integrated lens. According to a press release from April 2024. Sony Research.
Exmor RS™ image sensor and BIONZ XR™ processing engine deliver exceptionally high 4K 60p quality
The Exmor RS 1.0 image sensor, with a number of effective pixels of approximately 14 million, works with the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine, ensuring high resolution with low noise. Textures and materials are reproduced in an accurate and realistic way.
Sony's original built-in electronic ND (neutral) filter allows smooth adjustment from 1/4 to 1/128 ND, and the automatic exposure mode automatically maintains optimal exposure in changing lighting conditions. The ideal exposure can be maintained, for example, during changes in scene lighting, without having to adjust the iris, shutter or gain. Additionally, optimal exposure can be achieved without changing depth of field in the widest possible range of lighting conditions.
Highly accurate recognition technology
AI analytics uses detailed data about human pose, head, face, clothing and other data to precisely recognize people. It can be used to automatically control pan, tilt and zoom, for example to track an athlete during competition. Automatic PTZ framing is smooth and natural-looking, allowing you to work with a smaller camera crew.
The latest Exmor RS image sensor works with the BIONZ XR image processing engine to provide exceptional precision and speed in object detection, significantly improving the efficiency of the tracking mode. The image sensor supports focal plane phase-detection AF in the imaging area, allowing you to easily focus on fast-moving subjects with incredible speed and precision over a wide area.
A direct drive system using newly developed motors provides smooth, precise control of camera pan and tilt for high-quality visual effects. This high-tech engine works with precision optical encoders to allow the camera to pan and tilt at adjustable speeds from a very slow speed of 0.004 degrees per second to a high speed of 180 degrees per second. This wide speed range allows the camera to be used in a variety of applications.
